Sleepy John's Country Blues Birthday Jam
Celebrating the birthdays of Brownsville Bluesman Sleepy John Estes (1/25) with birthday cake and more.
Ever wanted to write a Blues song? West TN Bluesman Elam McKnight will walk you through the structure of a Blues tune and share tips for creating your unique compositions at 10 am. Following the songwriting workshop, you can enjoy birthday cake and participate in an acoustic Blues jam session.
Bring your instruments, your voice or just your love for the Blues.

Unique outdoor adventures and over 200 species of birds await you on the Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge. The event will includes in-person nature walks and hikes, educational seminars, and more. Perfect for seasoned birders or beginners.

Exit 56 Blues Fest celebrates the legacy of Brownsville bluesmen Sleepy John Estes, Hammie Nixon and Yank Rachell. The music festival takes place on the grounds of the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville TN each Memorial Day weekend.
Trick or Treat with Me
Bring your children, ages 12 and under, to Trick or Treat with us Thursday, October 31, from 4-6 pm. As part of our community’s annual Halloween in Haywood event. We’ll be passing out candy and allowing you to visit the museums after hours.
Hatchie Bottom Bluegrass Jamboree
Join us for the 7th annual Hatchie Bottom Bluegrass Jamboree. Packed full of great bluegrass music. Shade tree pickers are welcome to come and enjoy pickin' on the stage at 10 am. Arts & Craft Vendors & Food truck also on site. Stage music begins at 11 a.m. and includes bluegrass greats such as the Hatchie Bottom boys and Championship Fiddler Wayne Jerrolds.

Antique Tractor Show
Join us on Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Annual Antique Tractor Show hosted by the Farmers Antique Tractor Club of Brownsville, Tennessee. Bring your antique tractor to show, demonstrators are welcome. There is no entry fee. Open Jam & Porch Party
What if for one day everything stopped and we all just listened to the music?
It's Play Music on the Porch Day August 31st! And it's also the 10th anniversary of this worldwide event. Please join us as we open our porch to all our musician friends and invite you to come take part in an open jam session. The Memphis Drivers will host. Bring your instrument, voice, and your lawn chair. All genres welcome.

Summer Jamz Music Fest
Summer Jamz Music Fest - Day 3 - consist of a Quilt Jamz and music at the Delta Heritage Center. Quilt Jamz begins at 2 pm with a Memory Quilt presentation by Dr. Zanice Bond followed by music featuring singer/songwriters William Anthony, Willi X Evans and Rickey Godfrey from 5-8pm. An Afternoon with Billy Weir
Billy Weir was the first drummer for Harold Jenkins (aka Conway Twitty), when Weir was only 15 years old and later listed as one of Sun Records 5 Great Drummers. Weir started his music career as a drummer in a Jackson TN school band before his family moved to Memphis where he attended Humes High School. At age 83, he is releasing a compilation vinyl record with original songs that span his music career, including a remix of a song with Conway Twitty. Weir is also an author and owner / engineer at Gumball Recording Studios. Special guests will also be on hand for the release of his album "Here We Go Again." A special presentation and program at 3 pm.
TN Songwriters Week Qualifying Round
The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is proud to be an official qualifying venue for the 2024 TN Songwriters Week. All singer / songwriters in all genres are eligible to compete. The Delta Heritage Center qualifier will be Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 1-5 pm. Only 20 slots are available. Winner of the qualifying round will move on to the next round to be held in Memphis the week of Feb. 18-24.

Musicians are invited to bring their instruments for an acoustic jam session from 2-3 pm. Everyone is invited. All genre and instruments – including voices, and just folks wanting to hear some great music. This is a free event - bring your lawn chair and enjoy the mid-day concert.

Valerie June Book Signing
Meet Valerie June Hockett - a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, multi- instrumentalist and author from Humboldt Tennessee. Her newest book, "Somebody to Love: The Story of Valerie June’s Sweet Little Baby Banjolele," was just released November 1, and is a hardcover children’s book inspired by how June wrote the song “Somebody to Love” from her album Pushin’ Against a Stone.

An Evening with Jeff Dayton
Nashville songwriter and touring artist comes to Brownsville for an evening of songs and stories. From his 15 years as bandleader and guitarist with Hall of Fame legend Glen Campbell to his tours on guitar with Lee Greenwood and megastar Kenny Chesney, Jeff has kept the same upbeat gratitude and energy he's had since his early days in club bands. He's played shows on guitar with Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker, Toby Keith, Buck Owens and Bo Diddley to name a few of the greats.
